My name is Sam Jones and I have lived in the upstate of South Carolina all my life. I grew up fishing for trout in streams and rivers with my grandfather. I have been a Lake Jocassee trout guide since 2001 and have been fishing for trout on Lake Jocassee since 1978.
I want to be more than a fishing guide. I love to teach anglers how to fish with downriggers and how to use other fishing equipment like fishfinders and GPS.
To be a success as a professional fishing guide is to have guests want to come back and fish with me again and again because of the awesome all around fishing experience they had, not just catching a lot of trout. Don’t get me wrong, the ultimate goal is to catch lots and lots of big trout!
I only guide on Lake Jocassee so that I will always know the best locations and techniques for catching trophy trout year round.
On most trips I'll have my Fur-st Mate Fisher on board. He's a Brittney-Poodle that loves his Jocassee life.
I'm also Fishing Santa
More about that here.
My name is Casey Jones and I was born and raised in Greenville, SC. I have been chasing trout on Lake Jocassee with my Dad for all of my life. I am excited to join and help expand this business he has grown over the past 20+ years.
As someone who was lucky enough grow up around this beautiful lake, I am excited to share the Lake Jocassee experience with you.
With a fully equipped boat and years of knowledge whether you're a beginner or expert angler I’m sure you will enjoy trolling for trophy trout.
As your fishing guide I plan to put you in the best position to catch trophy trout. I look forward to sharing my passion with my guests and giving them a fishing experience they can brag about. I hope to share my knowledge and will answer all questions about the equipment, technique, or area.
I may have my Golden Retriever Bucket with me.
